On the evening of April 23, "Min Fanglei," a large-scale Peking Opera production funded by the China National Arts Fund for 2025, premiered at the Hunan Grand Theatre. Created by the Hunan Peking Opera Protection and Inheritance Center, the production recounts the story of the Min Fanglei, a national treasure (an ancient ritualistic bronze wine vessel), which reappeared three times between 1992 and 2014 after having been lost overseas. Thanks to the unremitting efforts of numerous cultural heritage workers, the bronze item was ultimately returned to Hunan and reunited with its lid. (Photo/Li Jian and Long Wenyang, Hunan Daily)
